The following committees are used by the Town Council.

• The burial Board....................Full Council
• Finance
• Planning
• Allotments
• General Purposes

Associated Committees

• Parish and Town Councils.  A  N L C committee attended by Broughton Councillors.
• Broughton Village Hall.  Attended by Broughton Councillors
• Broughton in need.   A charitable committee able to give financial help to Broughton residents.
• Police liaison.  Attended by Broughton Councillors

It is during committee meetings that detailed planning for projects and costing are discussed. Once the committee has collected all the information, a proposal is placed before the whole council to discuss the matter and come to a decision. The public are allowed at committee meeting but are not allowed to participate unless the chairman decides that they can express a view or give information.
